Born and raised in Union City, NJ, Matt is a product of the so called School of Hard Knocks. He was admitted to Jefferson Annex, which became Woodrow Wilson Star Magnet School, after excellence in Kindergarten. He received his High School diploma from Union Hill High School and shortly after went on to become a United States Marine.

Upon Honorable Discharge from the service he enrolled at Brookdale Community College in Monmouth County, NJ and went on to achieve extraordinary academic success including a near perfect GPA and roughly 20 awards for academic excellence. He was a leading member of the International Honor Society and the White House Youth Round Table. Matt also worked to raise thousands of dollars through various benefits for Haiti Relief, the Darfur Genocide, Breast, Ovarian and Childhood Cancers among several others. Matt took his success to the Ivy League at the University of Pennsylvania.

After leaving school to run a business and raise his infant son, Matt became a Christian and has devoted his life to Jesus Christ. He is now an active member and teacher at Colts Neck Community Church where he and his dedicated and beautiful wife Ashley and their three children attend. He recently returned to school to finish his degree at Hofstra University and has been awarded several honors including the International History Honors Society. He was recently accepted to both the Law & Business schools where he will not attend until he is done serving NJ.
