A Message from Matt Riccardi:

 

While the voters have their issues, I also have my issues that I want to solve when elected. Specifically:

 

1. I want to restore honesty, integrity, and accountability to the Governor's Office. I am sick and tired of the flagrant and unimpeded corruption that is committed by our elected officials. Upon my election, I will appoint a volunteer committee of citizens (not government employees) that will be selected from different political parties. Their duty will be to consistently review myself and my staff to ensure that we maintain the highest ethical standards while in office. Should this committee find that any member of my administration does not uphold to these standards, that staff member will immediately be asked to resign.

 

2. I want to use the Office of the Governor to champion for Constitutional restrictions on all aspects of government. I will ensure that my staff and all departments under my authority are conducting themselves within the boundaries of the U.S. and New Jersey Constitutions. 

 

3. I want to implement The Riccardi Method of Government into every department and program that is maintained by the Office of the Governor. This Method involves reviewing each and every department and program to ensure that it is effective, efficient, and the most cost effective way to get RESULTS. If any department or program fails to demonstrate that they are the best solution for New Jersey, I will start using non-government organizations that can prove that they can get the job done.

 

4. I will use the Governor's Office to control runaway government spending and misappropriation of taxpayer funds. I will veto any legislation that increases spending or the debt. I will use my office to force legislators to start reducing government interference and spending.

 

5. I will be the champion for small businesses in New Jersey. I will work with local governments to reduce the terrible burdens of taxation, fees, and regulations that are strangling our small business owners - those that give most to their communities. Small businesses are the lifeblood of jobs for New Jersey. Adopting True Capitalism principles will ensure more jobs, higher pay, better solutions, and a happier society.

 

I ask you to join me. My fight goes beyond issues and political slogans. 

 

I WANT TO FIGHT THE DISEASE, NOT JUST THE SYMPTOMS.

 

The disease is Political Elitism that pervades every aspect of government. Those who think that they know what is best for New Jersy are destroying it. I know better. The people know what is best for New Jersey and we need to restore the power back to those that Constitutions of our country and our state gave to them!
